Session 1: INVASIVE PLANT IDENTIFICATION AND CONTROL
Tuesday, November 1, 2022 7–8 pm CT

Are you having problems identifying and/or controlling invasive plants on your property? If so, then this class is for you. We will describe the most problematic invasive plants for woodlands in Wisconsin and recommend ways to control them.

Session 2: INVITE WILDLIFE TO YOUR WOODLAND
Tuesday, November 8, 2022 7–8 pm CT

Learn to enhance your woodlands to attract a variety of wildlife. This session identifies the four requirements to attract wildlife to your land—space, water, food and shelter—as well as how you can manage your woods to improve the wildlife potential.

Session 3: INTRODUCTION TO TIMBER HARVESTING AND SALES
Tuesday, November 15, 2022 7–8 pm CT

Learn how to decide which, if any, trees should be selected for cutting and why. Gain an understanding of what is meant by thinning, selection harvest, group selection harvest, clear-cut and shelterwood harvest. Learn the benefits of removing some trees as well as the reasons for not cutting others. You will be introduced to the steps and timeline of a successful timber sale from deciding what to harvest to the final closeout. This workshop will provide guidance on selecting a logger, why a timber sale contract is important and the supervisory steps involved in conducting a harvest.

Registration fee is $15 per person, which includes all three webinars.
