Woodland Stewardship for Women Workshop

April 21, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

$10

Are you a woman who owns land and has questions about how to care for your woods?  Register today for Woodland Stewardship for Women! At this one-day informal workshop located at the beautiful Kickapoo Valley Reserve, you will spend the day connecting with other women landowners and local natural resource professionals and learn how you can be an active steward of your woods. Women of all knowledge levels are welcome. Whether you are a new landowner or simply want to more actively contribute to the management of your land, this workshop is for you.

Here’s what women landowners have said after attending this workshop:

“It was most beneficial learning that there are many resources and professionals that care about the health of the Driftless region and are passionate about sharing their knowledge and information.”

“’Women’ and ‘landowner’ and ‘stewardship’ were words that I hadn’t seen connected before in any organized way.”

“There are many women like me who care about their land.”

Learn how to access resources that can help you:

  • Promote wildlife habitat
  • Manage invasive species
  • Apply for cost-share programs
  • Find a professional who can walk your land with you and help get you started
  • Learn about upcoming events and opportunities for landowners

Workshop Agenda:

Morning: 9:30 am-Noon: Enjoy informal conversation with other women landowners and women natural resource professionals, and explore an aerial photo and map of your land to get your specific questions answered.
