Get a Boost To Help Care for Your Land

Did you buy your dream property with the hopes of caring for it, but struggle to get started?  We know life gets busy, it’s hard to get started, and of course, everything costs money. This fall, special EQIP initiatives may be the key and the boost you need to get started!

The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) of the federal Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is their best program to help woodland owners reach their goals.  EQIP helps cover costs associated with controlling invasive species, improving wildlife habitat, planting trees, writing plans, and much, much more!

However, you have to act fast. The fall sign-up deadline for EQIP is November 20, 2020. Don’t wait, you’ll be too late!  Agents need time to process your application, so the SOONER the BETTER.

This spring’s opportunities are in landscape initiatives, soil health, and statewide farmstead initiatives. View the website for details and check out the upcoming fall programs, too. It’s never too early to plan!

Contact your local NRCS agent today!

“If you want to manage for wildlife, they’ll tell you how to attract more wildlife to your property. I just sent NRCS an email, and they told me which forms I needed to fill out. I stopped by their office and dropped the forms off. They explained a little bit more about the program and took things from there. They help you with your goals. I say, just do it. You’ll be happy you did.” – Dan Fischer, Richland County Landowner
