Paws for Pollinators
June 19, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Join the Waukesha County Land Conservancy and the Kettle Moraine Land Trust as we welcome Conservation Dogs Collective!
Discover the important world of conservation dogs, specially trained to sniff out endangered wildlife, invasive organisms, and various environmental elements. This family-friendly event offers an up-close look at these remarkable canines and their incredible skills.
You’ll learn firsthand how these dogs are trained and how their keen sense of smell is utilized to protect our precious pollinators. It’s an opportunity not only to meet a conservation dog, Lily, and her handler, Katie Homan, but to see them in action and also to gain a deeper understanding of the important role they play in protecting our environment.
This event is free and open to the public but registration is required.
