After graduating from the University of Montana, I started my forestry career in 1999 with the Minnesota DNR and joined the Wisconsin DNR in 2003. I worked as a private lands forester in Appleton and Wausau before moving to Vilas County in 2011. Meeting with landowners and walking their property is very rewarding. Every property is unique, and every landowner has a story to tell. I usually learn just as much from landowners as they learn from me!
What I like about Vilas County: The landscape in the Northwoods is fantastic! There are still places that feel remote and peaceful, even though they aren’t that far from civilization. It’s also pretty incredible to work with some of the biggest pine in the state!
