Bio
I grew up in Stevens Point and attended UWSP. I liked the outdoors, so studying natural resources was an obvious choice and forestry was the best fit. I graduated with a degree in Forest Management and Urban Forestry which benefits my work with a diversity of landowners. My career has taken me all over the U.S. as a forester, wildfire fighter, tree climber, landscaper, and for the last 27 years, a DNR forester. I’m lucky I’ve always enjoyed my career. I enjoy spending time with family and anything outdoors.
What I like about Portage County: It is home to me – the people, the farms, and the landscape.

There are also many cooperating foresters who are able to assist you. Cooperating Foresters are consulting foresters or industrial foresters who voluntarily enter into a cooperative agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Consulting foresters are private-sector foresters who provide forestry services on a contract or fee basis and who represent the interests of private forest landowners.
