I grew up in Sheboygan. I’ve been a DNR Forester in Sauk County since 2007. It is very rewarding to work with new landowners or those that have been practicing sustainable forestry for many years. I look forward to meeting and working with landowners to help them meet their property objectives. Helping landowners achieve their forest objectives is the most rewarding part of being a forester.
What I like about Sauk County: The landscape is very diverse and so are the potential practices. The landowners are very active on their properties.
There are also many cooperating foresters who are able to assist you. Cooperating Foresters are consulting foresters or industrial foresters who voluntarily enter into a cooperative agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Consulting foresters are private-sector foresters who provide forestry services on a contract or fee basis and who represent the interests of private forest landowners.
