Bio

About Me: I grew up in Waukesha, WI and studied Forest Management at UW-Stevens Point. In my free time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, kayaking, and boating. I have a deep passion for the outdoors that was instilled in me from my father and grandfather. I have a enjoy good forest management and helping people reach their goals for their property.

What I like about Ashland County: I enjoy the rural and “up north” landscape and the friendly people. The county supports agriculture, hardwood forests, abundant wildlife and recreational opportunities for all ages.

Helping landowners achieve their forest objectives is the most rewarding part of being a forester.

Bio

I grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and studied Forest Management at Michigan Technological University. In my free time, I enjoy biking, gardening, dancing, and music. My choice to become a forester was influenced through the enjoyment of recreation on industrial forest land. Forest management allows forests to stay intact and usable for profit, recreation, and wildlife habitat. Finding a balance between multiple goals on forest land is the most rewarding part of being a forester.

What I like about Ashland and Bayfield Counties: I enjoy the variety in landscape and culture. The people here have their own histories and reasons for owning forest land.

Ashland: Madeline Island; Bayfield County: Barksdale, Bayfield, Bayview, Bell, Clover, Eileen, Grand View, Kelly, Keystone, Lincoln, Mason, Portwing, Russell, Washburn

There are also many cooperating foresters who are able to assist you. Cooperating Foresters are consulting foresters or industrial foresters who voluntarily enter into a cooperative agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Consulting foresters are private-sector foresters who provide forestry services on a contract or fee basis and who represent the interests of private forest landowners.
