Bio
I grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and studied Forest Management at Michigan Technological University. In my free time, I enjoy biking, gardening, dancing, and music. My choice to become a forester was influenced through the enjoyment of recreation on industrial forest land. Forest management allows forests to stay intact and usable for profit, recreation, and wildlife habitat. Finding a balance between multiple goals on forest land is the most rewarding part of being a forester.
What I like about Ashland and Bayfield Counties: I enjoy the variety in landscape and culture. The people here have their own histories and reasons for owning forest land.

About me: Growing up in Douglas County I had the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors from a young age. My interest in the outdoors led me to attend UW-Stevens Point where I graduated in 2007 with a degree in Forestry. I have worked in many areas around the state and my family and I are excited to be living here. When I have time I enjoy cooking and gardening on top of hunting, fishing, and camping.
What I like about Bayfield County: There’s so much room to explore the outdoors, but we’re not so far out there that we can’t enjoy going to dinner or a movie. There’s a balance you can’t find in other places.

I grew up outside of Tomah, WI and studied Forest Management at UW-Stevens Point. In my free time, I enjoy a variety of outdoor recreation including camping, gardening, snowshoeing, cutting firewood, hunting, and fishing. I always knew I wanted to work outdoors and growing up, I had a deep appreciation for forests. Now I understand the wide array of services a healthy forest provides. Helping landowners achieve their forest objectives is the most rewarding part of being a forester.
What I like about Douglas County: The privacy and the abundant public lands.
